Are you stuck in a rut?

So around this time of the year, resolutions start to get old and harder to commit to. Is this you?? We know that even coming to class gets hard...with all the directions that we are pulled daily! Please stay strong! Taking some time for you is very important! Exercise is so important to keeping your stress level down, clearing your head, and overall health. Stay strong! You can do this! If you need to wake up early or stay up late, please do it! God wants us to keep our bodies healthy. This is the only one that we get!! It is also very important for you to watch your diet! If you are trying to lose weight...diet is the key! Eat as much fresh and less processed! Shop on the outer edges of the grocery store and not as much down the aisles. Stay strong!! Here is a great website with a lot of videos that you can do at home. We enjoy these too. There are so many that you can choose high intensity workouts or low impact barre videos. Copy and paste this link to get to the videos. http://www.youtube.com/user/FitnessBlender Remember you can do these this month when we don't have class for Spring Break!

Love...

The Bible says to love your neighbor as yourself... Do you love yourself? You need to! We are God's creation...made in His image! We are not all the same and God doesn't want us to be! How boring would it be if we were!! We are going to focus this month on LOVING us and each other. How can you do that? Wake up every morning thanking God for who he made you to be! Make a point of not being critical of yourself! Give people compliments! Be genuine! Look into peoples eyes when you talk to them. Take time to listen! Pay it forward in what ever way you can for the day! We love you!

Growing in the Word!

Happy 2014! Have you made your resolutions yet? I have...well, I've made some hopes for this year. One of my hopes is to get more into the word and really LISTEN to what God wants me to hear. I'm praying for the time, energy, and ability to really sit in His presence. What about you? I'd love to hear some of your favorite studies... Right now I'm sharing one of my new ones. Enjoy!! http://shereadstruth.com/2013/07/20/day13/

The Greatest Story....

Luke 2:1-20 New International Version (NIV) The Birth of Jesus 2 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. 8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” 15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

How are we LOVING?

We love this time of the year! Time that people are more thoughtful than most...which is sad if you think about it. We should be thoughtful all of the time. I was watching this program this morning and thought I'd share it with you:http://www.joycemeyer.org/BroadcastHome.aspx?video=What_Is_True_Love_-_Pt_1 (Just so you know there is a part 2 that is great too) So how are we going to be the hands and feet of Jesus this holiday season. Two years ago we challenged you to do something every day that is thoughtful, out of your comfort zone, something that shows the love of Jesus through your actions for someone else. Let's do it again! We might ask you if you completed your "challenge" for the day. We don't want to know what your challenge is/was...only that you completed it. The Bible says: John 13:34 "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” How are we loving each other? I know I'm not doing my best...so I'm gonna change that! Praise Jesus!
