What do I do now??
So, it's September now, and just when you think you have all the moves down (as best as you can) we go changing up the playlist! What do you do now?
1. Breathe-you will get through this. You already are familiar with 1/2 of the songs.
2. Come any and every Monday that you can at 6 for a break down of any songs or moves.
3. Listen to this playlist as much as you can. Buy the music on iTunes if you want! The more you know the music, the better you will do!!
4. Always, get your feet right before you move on to trying arms or hips. Those will come as you get more familiar with the songs too.
5. HAVE FUN! This class is not about being perfect! It's about having a DIFFERENT place to do Zumba where you can be yourself and get to know some other fabulous women.
We want to tell you that you are doing such a great job!! You are sweating and moving and that is really what we want you to do when you come to Zumba with us!! You have this!! You are WONDERFUL!!
Be encouraged that this time of the month is hard for all of us. We get through it together and we WILL have fun!!
We love y'all!!

August already?? Yes!!
Hey ladies!!
We are so ready and excited to be getting back to working out with you!! This summer has been a great time for us to really try to plan ahead on our workouts and get a great list of new songs ready for you. Don't be fooled though, this does not mean that we are going to be easy on you! These songs will be hard! BUT...we know that you can handle it!!
So, here is what you need to know to get ready for this year!!
1. Come to the Meet and Greet on Thursday (Yes, this Thursday) from 6-730. We will be filling out this year's participation form so make sure to bring your insurance card. We will talk just a little bit about new things for this year and we will breakdown a few songs for you. Make sure to bring your hesitant friends with you. This will not be a class. They can get a taste for what we do and decide if they like it or not. We would love to see you there!!
2. The EC will be hot!! So, starting Monday (August 13th) make sure that you drink lots of water before class and eat something a few hours before class starts. It would also be a great idea if you bring a cold cloth or something in a cup (that way it will not spill anywhere) that you can use when we take water breaks to wipe off with. The air will only go down so low, so please be responsible with how hard you are pushing yourself!! We don't want to have anyone get sick!!
3. We are going to try really hard to have everyone leave as soon as class is over. Yes, we will be setting up chairs and tables on Mondays after class but if everyone helps, it will only take a few minutes. We love for y'all to hang out with us and each other, but it would be better for us if you can come before class to do this rather than staying after. (I really want to get home before Ebby goes down for the night!)
4. We will try to have announcement sheets out at all sign in tables and the table with the name tags. This way we will not announce them in class. Bring your phone or calendar in with you and you can write down important dates before class.
5. Class will be starting right at 6:30. I know it is hard for some of you to get here fast from work, but we are going to be starting right at 6:30. If you can, please come early (at least 6:15) to check in, get your name tag, and chat before class.
6. Don't get used to your "spot." We will continue to have you change spots throughout class. Do so quickly, please!! Also, be friendly and encourage the new friends you stand next to. Remember, we are a family!! Let's act like one!!
7. Prayer time will still be on Thursdays. Come before class if you want to participate!
We love you ladies and are so looking forward to what GOD has in store for us together this year!!

Easter Week
This weekend we are celebrating Easter. For Christians, Easter is the holiday that states what we believe. Jesus died on the cross to forgive our sins and he rose from the grave on the third day. But truth be told, Easter is so much more complex to imagine than just that! I was reading this morning in my devotional and it was talking about how Christ was publicly exposed for everyone to see on the cross, yet He chose to die this way. He saw people pass him by and mock him. He saw people pass by that didn't care at all. Yet, He chose this way to save us. He chose this way to save them. He chose this way to save me.
As I was thinking about this, I was convicted of how often I do things for people and I want them to see. I want the acknowledgement. I want the thanks. Man, do I have a lot to learn. Jesus was the perfect example of dying to self. He gave up his own life, without any thanks, for me and you. He did this because he loves us so much.
Think about this as you celebrate this holiday. How often are we doing what is right or something for someone else without any acknowledgement? It should be daily...every minute of every day.
Lord, please teach me to be more like you! Please take the selfishness out of my intentions! Give me a renewed love of others! Please help me to be more like CHRIST! Amen!
Luke 24
1: But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices which they had prepared. 2: And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3: but when they went in they did not find the body. 4: While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel; 5: and as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, "Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6: Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, 7: that the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise." 8: And they remembered his words, 9: and returning from the tomb they told all this to the eleven and to all the rest.

March, really???
I can't believe it is already MARCH!!
Where did the winter go??? I am a little disappointed that I didn't get to play in very much snow, but I do love what spring symbolizes!! Spring is a time for growth! It's a time for us to enjoy the warmer temperatures and get out in the sunshine!
Spring is also a reminder about the upcoming Easter holiday! I love Easter and what it means to me as a Christian...but we'll get more into that next month.
This month, I want us to focus on what our "growth" should be in.
Last month, we issued a challenge. We know some of you did it, we know some of you tried to do it. The whole idea behind that was to show Jesus in you no matter what! We, as Christians, should be doing this all the time!!
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
We should be living our lives with Christ living in us, in our actions, in our words, in our thoughts, in our hearts!!
Therefore, I think that we should CONTINUE in our challenge from last month...but lets do it better! This month, we want you to find a buddy to hold you accountable. And just as we did last month, we don't want you to tell what you did that showed Jesus living in you, but just tell us or your buddy every day that you completed the challenge. Buddies, it is your job to call out your friend when they don't tell you they finished for the day!!
At the end of the month, let's see if we "grew" in our Christian example!
Come on, ladies!! It's time to break away from routine and comfort! Living as Christ is not comfortable. Let's get out of our comfort zone!! Pray and ask God to show you ways to be an example to others each day. This could mean buying coffee for a stranger, taking out your neighbor's trash, cooking a meal for someone on your heart. The list is endless!
Think SPRING and growth! Let's grow in our love for one another!!
Who's with us??
1 Corinthians 11:1 ESV
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
Reminders:
Shirt orders are due by Thursday! $20 for the burn out white long sleeve with Z for C on it!! Super Cute!!
Hip Scarf orders are due by Monday to Maria! They are $6.
For both orders, money is due at the time of order!

Happy February!
Good morning, ladies! Happy February!!
Just a reminder that we are doing the burn out shirt orders again. They are $20 and you can fill out a purchase slip(we have these) with your name, email and size when you pay for the shirt. We will be collecting orders for the next 2 weeks.
Also, we are participating in the Zumbathon at the UAW on February 25th from 10:30 -12:30. Cost is $10 and is is 2 hours of fun! We'd love to see you there!
So I was thinking and praying about what to talk to y'all about this month. When I think of February, I always think of love. Then I started to think "How am I to love as a Christian?"
We think that loving someone is easy, but it's not. I am called, as a Christian, to love my neighbor as myself. I'm called to love my enemies. I'm called to love at all times.
Well, let me tell you that I am not good at loving like this! This is very difficult. I have been convicted many times on the way I love and therefore I am issuing this challenge! This month, I am going to love like crazy!! I AM going to love my neighbor as my self! I AM going to love my enemies! I AM going to love at all times! It is not going to be easy, that's why it is a challenge! I'm going to make an effort to be more conscious of how I treat people and the way that I think! The way that I act should reflect my Savior living in me!
So, who's with me? Let's be radical in our love for others this month. Let's go out of our way to show love to others even when it means that we will not be gaining anything! Let's sacrifice for others the way that Christ sacrificed for us!
I want you to post on our FB page or comment on here ways that you fulfilled this challenge daily. Remember this is a daily challenge. Each day this month!! Report back to us, not what you did, but that you "completed today's challenge." Again, we don't want to know what you did...just that you "completed today's challenge."
Let's show love this month!!
1 Corinthians 13:4–8a
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails .
