December is here!!

Take some time and really think about the true meaning of CHRISTmas.

Luke 2:1-20
New International Version (NIV)

Luke 2

The Birth of Jesus

1 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register.
4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.

8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Try not to let the hustle and bustle of this holiday season take the true meaning of Christmas away from you.
Share with others around you how wonderful this holiday is and what a miracle it is.
This story never gets too old!

We love you and pray you have a wonderful holiday season with your family and can share the love of Christ with them too.
Merry Christmas!

NOVEMBER already?

Can you believe it is already NOVEMBER??
This month is going to be shorter than others have been with 3 classes canceled!

As the holidays approach, remember to take time out for yourselves and work up a sweat
and have some fellowship time with other women at the same time!!

This month we will be reflecting on THANKSGIVING.
How thankful are we really?
It is getting more difficult to be conscious of having a thankful attitude and heart in such an instant gratification society. We want to encourage you to try something different this year. Each day, tell someone how thankful you are for them. Tell them the reasons that you love and appreciate them. Pick a different person to bless every day for the month!
Family and friendship are so important and we take it for granted so often!
Step out of your comfort zone this month.
Be a blessing to someone else!!

Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.

Please,Please, Pray for one of our Ladies!!!!

Good morning,
>
> We are members of Strong Tower and our daughter (also a member) has
> fallen prey to the enemy and we have not been able to pull her out of
> the grasp. Today she is planning to move to live in sin with a young
> man who is NOT a believer and seems to question God altogether. She is
> also pregnant and has a continuous lying tongue, and defiance and
> disrespect deeper than you can imagine. The young man's mother is
> Pentecostal, but lost her son years ago and is now his "friend" and in
> talking to her is a defeated mother. We are not defeated as long as God
> is God! Amen!
>
> Her phone number is 615-504-2628 and her name is Elexis Fletcher. Some
> of you may know her from church and if not, you probably have seen her
> with us. Please feel free to contact her, pray for her, and keep her in
> your thoughts to break this treacherous bond of sin she has chosen to
> embrace. Please pray for our family and feel free to contact me at
> 615-337-0170 to pray with me & for me, through all means , voice, text
> or voice mail. Exposing the enemies tactics is one way we have to break
> the hold and I am hurt but have moved past the shame of how this looks
> and feels. We want our daughter back and we're going to fight the only
> way we can now to get her.
>
> My sister sent me this and I am grateful that this will be our Word
> mantra to stand while this challenge unfolds.
>
> "Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive
> delivered? But thus saith the Lord, Even the captives of the mighty
> shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered:
> for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save
> thy children". Isaiah 49: 24, 25. We know we do not fight against
> flesh and blood, so whatever lie of the enemy that Lexi is believing at
> present, will lose its hold on her, just keep praying and believing in
> God. Receive His help to forgive all that needs forgiving so that your
> prayers are not hindered. We cannot forgive from our heart without His
> help and He freely gives Grace to help us in our time of need and that
> includes the need to forgive. It releases that awful heaviness that
> comes from feeling helpless, powerless, hurt, perplexed, disappointed,
> mad, scared, indifferent, shame, and on, and on, and on.
>
> Please join me as I walk blessed knowing the heavens are lighting up
> with your solicitations on our behalf.

September is here!!

Hope you enjoy this playlist (sorry it is short) but you will have to come to class to hear the rest. Just a couple of things to remember when you come to class:
16 years and older, women only
bring your insurance card
bring your water
listen to the music and it is easier to learn the steps
bring weights (if you want)
wear tennis shoes and modest workout clothing

Make sure to look at upcoming events and dates of classes so that you are prepared for cancellations.
You might also notice that we want to encourage you to read the book of Hosea in the Bible for an upcoming (one night only)
discussion about the book.

We look forward to seeing you every Monday and Thursday.
Remember 6:00 break down on Monday's only and prayer time after class on Thursdays only.
Let us know if you need anything!
We love you, ladies!!

Are you ready?

Are you ready?? We are!!
We hope that everyone has had a great summer break! There are some upcoming dates that are important that we wanted you to know about, so feel free to spread the word...
In order to be able to participate in TSC Zumba classes you will need to fill out a participation agreement (even if you have done this before...we are starting all over again). In order to do this
correctly, you need to make sure that you bring your insurance card and have a name and phone number of an emergency contact person. We thought it would be fun to give everyone a chance to do this and mingle around and talk to everyone without being rushed, so on Monday, August 8 from 6-7:30 we are going to have a "Meet and Greet" where you can come and get your paperwork filled out, chat to your Zumba friends, and possibly purchase a new tank to wear.

This will not be a Zumba class, but we will offer a breakdown session of one song so that if you have friends that have never come to class and don't know if they will like it, they can try it out and see what they think. We need your help to spread the word for anyone new that would like to try the class to come to this "Meet and Greet."

Regular TSC Zumba classes will start on Thursday, August 11 at 6:30.

Please remember that these classes are for women who are 16 and older and that no childcare is provided.
Please remember to come early if you can't make the "Meet and Greet" to fill out your paperwork, but we will offer a breakdown session of one song so that if you have friends that have never come to class and don't know if they will like it, they can try it out and see what they think. We need your help to spread the word for anyone new that would like to try the class to come to this "Meet and Greet."

We will update the blog soon with our August playlist and hope that you are getting excited about this coming year with our class. We have some new things to try out and can't wait to see how God works!!

Blessings ladies!!
